AIMCAUK Scholarship Update 2025    :::

AIMCAUK is excited to share an update on the AIMCAUK Scholarship Project and its continued impact on deserving students at Allama Iqbal Medical College (AIMC).

Scholarship Progress:

  • A new batch of first-year students joined AIMC in March 2025.
  • The application process for AIMCAUK scholarships will soon be underway.
  • 21 deserving students will be recommended by the AIMC Scholarship Committee.
  • Funds will be deposited into the AIMC principal’s account at Habib Bank AIMC branch, Lahore.

Project Impact:

  • Since the launch of the scholarship project in 2015:, 24 AIMCAUK Scholarship recipients have graduated.
  • 4 final-year students are among the current 21 scholarship recipients.
  • By next year, 28 deserving students will have graduated as MBBS doctors with AIMCAUK support.

We are humbled to share only some heartwarming messages from our scholarship recipients:

  • A female student from rural Muzaffargarh expressed her deep gratitude for the consistent support throughout her medical education journey, which covered all expenses and allowed her to focus on her studies.
  • Another student highlighted how the scholarship relieves financial pressure, especially during times of high inflation, and appreciates AIMCAUK’s efforts for the welfare of Iqbalian students.
  • A fourth-year student shared how the scholarship has eased their financial difficulties since their first year, making their MBBS journey much smoother.

Future Goals:

We aim to increase the number of scholarships, which is only possible with your continued support. The annual expenses for one student, including tuition fees, hostel fees, and mess fees have increased alot, we recently received feedback from couple of existing scholarship recipients and AIMC Scholarship Committee chair person regarding this increase in expenses. We would request all existing donors and potential donors to please slightly increase the scholarship amount to £650 per year or £55 per month. (Instead of existing annual £600 or £50 monthly) Please note attached circular from chairperson AIMC Scholarship Committee, Prof. Mahjabeen Munera, Head of Anatomy department).
